Rubèn Molina, chorégraphe et danseur de la scène flamenco contemporaine, présente son nouveau
spectacle intitulé “La Salida”. Après le succès de “Nuit flamenco acte II” et “Matame”, Rubén continue
d'explorer les différentes facettes de cet art ancestral.
Dans ce spectacle, il mêle la danse, la voix, la musique live et le théâtre pour réinventer les codes du
flamenco. Il dialogue avec la danse contemporaine et le classique espagnol afin de créer un langage
universel qui dépasse les mots et permet d'incarner toute l'humanité.
Il s'agit d'une oeuvre cathartique où chaque mouvement porte une histoire. "La Salida" qui signifie "La Sortie”
en espagnol, symbolise l'ouverture vers de nouvelles expériences, une échappée vécue comme un voyage
qui permet à Ruben Molina de donner une voix aux minorités invisibilisées.

From the oppressive but at the same time reflective loneliness to which we were subjected, as if condemned to house arrest during the pandemic time, a questioning interregnum was established in our lives, signaled by the stigma that we might or might not be the next fatal victim.
That was reflected speculatively in each of us in differential dimensionings, but always carried by a dose of expectation to understand, in the midst of fears and shadows, the real meaning of that instant situation in his glimpse of how difficult it is to support the human condition with its perspective of terminality.
With this dramatic passage in our existential trajectories, the multiple artists André Curti and Artur Luanda Ribeiro, once again activated their inventive drive, situated at the confluence of artistic languages from theater to dance, to resume the dreamlike imaginary that has marked their creations, over the years, through Cia.
Now, with the proposal to also show his conceptual conception, under introspective cries of silence expressed by visceral gestualist approach, in his latest scenic achievement, symbolically named While You Flew, I Created Roots.
In a critical analysis that we posted at the time, about the last work presented on Brazilian stages – Blood Brothers, we made a point of highlighting the permanent transmutation of a Freudian principle in the creations of the Company where "virtual thought is closer to unconscious processes than verbal thought".

In the circularity of a plastic/kinetic vocabulary capable of referring, sometimes to a format of ritualistic connotation and more playful in its kaleidoscopic structuring, propitiating a psychedelic succession of overlapping images.
Or with a scenographic reference to the iconic drawing the "Vitruvian Man" by Leonardo da Vinci. By the symmetrical imagery suggestion of a naked male human body, unfolding its arms and legs in a plastic portrait, situated between a circle and a square, which is the earth and also the sky.
Here, as if it were only one, the corporeality of the two actors/dancers (André Curti and Artur Luanda Ribeiro) simultaneously, according to the alchemical notion, in the ideals of what is above is equal to what is below, touching the feet and hands, while the arms elongated by supports create a delirious visuality, in the sequential gestural/choreographic succession of an instant that leads sensorially to another.
Highlighted by luminary effects (Artur Luanda Ribeiro) under the prevalence of shading, between metaphorical pictorial tones, with virtual brushstrokes sometimes abstract or with a pointillist accent, in the scene of water drops filling the scenic space.
Always, in mind-blowing visual insertions, from the use of material (by Diir) and videographic (Laura Fragoso) elements. Alternating a figurativism of clothing (Ticiana Passos) with the body denudation of the performers. It is necessary to highlight the striking and qualifying originality of the sound score of classical tessitura, by the composer and instrumentalist Federico Puppi.
Able to provide in its low sound waves, between melancholic chords, an emotional surroundings taken to its culmination in apotheotic percussive rumble. This young composer increasingly surprises with his inventive pursuits that bring him closer to the musical experiments, with a liberating minimalism, of the Estonian Arvo Pärt.
Provocative and immersive, from the energetic physicality to the introspective proposal, the gestural writing of While You Flew, I Created Roots, makes its creators – André Curti and Artur Luanda Ribeiro – share it with the viewer as a reflective work open to the intimate enjoyment of each one. It is thus able to echo the emblematic mystery of Clarice Lispector – "Hear me, hear my silence. What I say is never what I say, but something else."
